Plain-English books on how the stock market works
Global Alpha Books publishes self-study material on market structure, chart reading, order types and risk management — written for people who are learning the subject from the beginning.
The Telegram channel is free to join and free to leave. It shares study notes and definitions only — no stock tips, no buy or sell recommendations, and no claims about money you could make.
What the channel is
Weekly study notes, nothing else
What gets posted
- Short summaries of one chapter or concept each week
- A “term of the week” from the glossary — words like bid-ask spread, circuit limit, position size

- Answers to questions about the concepts covered in the books
- Occasional free notes in PDF form
What never gets posted
- Stock tips, buy or sell calls, or target prices
- Profit screenshots, P&L statements or performance claims
- Portfolio advice or anything specific to your situation
- Paid signal groups, referral links or broker commissions
- Requests for your bank, UPI, card or demat details
The books
What the library covers
The library is a set of digital books, read in order. Each one assumes you have read the one before it.
- 01
Market basics
What a share is, how NSE and BSE match orders, trading sessions and holidays, demat and trading accounts, and the fees and taxes attached to a trade.
- 02
Reading a price chart
Candlesticks, time frames, support and resistance, volume, gaps, and the vocabulary used to describe what a chart is doing.
- 03
Indicators and what they measure
Moving averages, RSI, MACD and ATR — how each one is calculated, what it reacts to, and where it misleads.
- 04
Risk and position sizing
Stop-loss placement, the arithmetic of drawdown, risk per trade, and why position size is decided before entry.
- 05
Order types and execution
Market, limit, SL and SL-M orders, bracket and cover orders, slippage, liquidity, and circuit limits.
- 06
Journalling and review
Keeping a trade journal, recording reasons rather than outcomes, and reviewing a month of entries without hindsight.
The complete library is available as a digital download on our own store. It is study material — a book, not a service, not a subscription and not an advisory.

Questions
Frequently asked
Do you give stock tips or buy/sell calls?
No. Not in the Telegram channel, not in the books, not in direct messages, and not for payment. If anyone contacts you offering paid calls in our name, it is not us.
Are you registered with SEBI?
No. We publish educational books. We do not provide investment advice or research recommendations, which is what SEBI registration governs. For advice about your own money, speak to a SEBI-registered adviser.
Is the Telegram channel really free?
Yes. Joining costs nothing, there is nothing to subscribe to, and you can leave at any time from Telegram itself. The paid product is the digital book library on our store, and it is optional.
What do I need before I start reading?
Nothing but the ability to read English and some patience. You do not need a demat account, trading capital or any software to work through the books.
Will this material make me money?
We make no such claim. The books explain how markets, charts, orders and risk work. What anyone does with that understanding, and what happens as a result, is outside our control and outside our promises.
How do refunds work on the book library?
The books are digital files delivered immediately after purchase, so they cannot be returned once downloaded. If a file does not open, is incomplete, or you were charged twice, email us within 7 days of purchase with your order details and we will replace the file or refund that payment. Full terms are in the Refund policy below.
Do you collect my personal information on this page?
This page has no forms and asks for nothing. If you tap the Telegram button you leave for Telegram, where their own terms and privacy policy apply. See the Privacy policy below for what the store does collect when you buy a book.
